At the beginning of 2023, Christine Eisner, teacher at the Nordlicht Schule S\u00fcderbrarup and Ingrid Roosen-Trinks from the Kunst f\u00fcr Angeln association, presented a new cooperation. Original works of art on loan from the Roosen-Trinks Collection to schools with the aim of expanding art classes, inspiring children, making their own versions in workshops and giving their imagination new inspiration! Since 2023 the association shows the results of the children\u2019s artworks twice a year in a separate building called the KIDS ART CLUB and makes them available to the public.

A school becomes a museum:
contemporary art comes to S\u00fcderbrarup<\/h1>\n\n\n\n
The association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN and the Nordlicht Schule S\u00fcderbrarup presented an art premiere at the beginning of 2023 on 11 January in Angeln, the northernmost region of Schleswig-Holstein: The students do not go out to see art but art comes to school.
On January 11, 2023 the school director Wolfgang Sch\u00e4fing, art teacher Christine Eisner and the board of the association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN e.V., Ingrid Roosen-Trinks, presented an exhibition of contemporary art in the corridors of the Nordlicht School with works by the young Flensburg artists Henrik Becker and Thore Bernstein as well as the internationally renowned object – and installation artist Carsten H\u00f6ller.
The school as a learning environment thus becomes a meeting place for all pupils of this primary school in S\u00fcderbrarup – made possible by loans from the association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN e.V.
Art teacher Christine Eisner asserts: “We are excited to see how our students will adopt this new form of art education on site. In any case, we hope to get inspirations for creative ideas and thoughts, it is therefore an extension of our art classes outside the classroom. \u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contemplating and dealing with contemporary art offers the opportunity to pause, to take time for creative thoughts, emotions and new perspectives – and thus to broaden the horizon. We see this new art cooperation as an extension of our educational offers and are pleased to have the artworks with us until Easter 2023. \u201c
Ingrid Roosen-Trinks, member of the board of the association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN e.V.: “One year ago, we founded our association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN, with the aim of helping students, young persons, seniors and all people, who live, work and go to school in Angeln, allowing access to contemporary art simply and easily – including exhibitions at the Wittkielhof, workshops with artists and social projects.
Thanks to the ROOSEN-TRINKS collection, we are also making it possible now to experience contemporary art live on site – in this case in the Nordlicht primary school – in the heart of Angeln. We want to offer this offer to other schools in the region.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
The premiere in S\u00fcderbrarup was a complete success and the first comments of the students aged 6 – 10 show how diverse and different art can work and how much the imagination and creative thinking is stimulated.
For example, the children’s comments on Thore Bernstein\u2019s photo work “Wasserturm”: – A giant drum as a dwarf sees it, or a plant that has grown very quickly, or a blue corridor with a magic door.
When asked who would like to become an artist later on, spontaneously 11 fingers up. The art world does not have to worry about a shortage of young talent for the time being.
By mid-April 2023, the artworks had been integrated into school lessons and invited to get inspired during breaks and workshops. The results will be presented in an exhibition in autumn 2023vby the association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN.

\u201eSECUNDA\u201c: THE Nordlicht- Schule HOSTS ART FOR THE SECOND TIME<\/h1>\n\n\n\n
The ART FOR ANGELN association and the Nordlicht-School in S\u00fcderbrarup opened on April 26 2023 at 10:30 am the second art exhibition with paintings of contemporary art from the ROOSEN-TRINKS Collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The artworks shown are by Hendrik Becker, Ulla von Brandenburg, Atsushi Kaga and Carol Wates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The art teacher Christine Eisner stated: \u201cAfter very successful 3 months with the first loans of artworks from the collection Roosen-Trinks we were able to find that the children of all classes do not longer want to miss the paintings and the resulting artworks done by the students are ready for an exhibition, after having been presented with the originals! Therefore, we are pleased that we can now enrich our art lessons with further loans\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN and I are proud and happy to give the children another opportunity to turn their creativity and imagination into art! The results of the children\u2019s art will be shown in our planned KINDER KUNST CLUB ANGELN from October on the WITTKIELHOF.,\u201d said Ingrid Roosen- Trinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Headmaster Wolfgang Sch\u00e4fing: “Thanks to the association KUNST F\u00dcR ANGELN, who made these loans possible for the second time! Original contemporary art in school represents an enrichment of school life and teaching.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition was musically opened by Natalie Gudow, who plays the violin passionately and is a dedicated violin teacher of the regional Schleswig-Flensburg Music School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
