ABOUT US

The Association Kunst für Angeln (ART for ANGLIA) wants to enrich the region with contemporary art and actively involve local people. The Roosen-Trinks Collection is not intended to land like a UFO – it is not a foreign body – instead, we aim to develop successive formats for the region. Together with artists and curators, we will also design new projects. It is, however, still about meetings and exchanges, as it was previously in Berlin. What we need right now is motivation from artists to feel we are ourselves, not to lose hope, and maybe even to master this or that challenge with humour. I am ready for a new adventure.”

Ingrid Roosen-Trinks

We are delighted that contemporary art in the shape of the ART for ANGLEN e.V. Association and the ROOSEN-TRINKS COLLECTION is moving into Wittkielhof Farm, idyllically located on the Angeln peninsula. This 19th century farmstead offers art a unique stage. During the past few years, I have renovated this three-sided farm, which is typical of the region, and transformed it into a lively place for meetings and exchanges. A whole new perspective awaits us now that the collection has moved in: Art connects the historic buildings with the spacious park, and unfolds its full effect. We hope for many enriching moments and encounters in a special atmosphere – with its appeal for the whole region.
