OUTLOOK 2026
There will once again be various exhibitions and workshops in 2026
As always, admission is free, and there are no participation fees for workshop attendees.
Anyone who would like to become a member of the circle of friends of Kunst für Angeln or support us with a small donation is very welcome to contact me directly.
Art strengthens resilience—whether created by oneself or simply through engaging with it.
Even viewing art can give hope, brighten one’s mood, and inspire confidence.
Engaging with art—actively or passively—should really be prescribed by a general practitioner!
Until that happens, Kunst für Angeln, with its numerous exhibitions and workshops, continues to offer free inspiration and genuine enrichment for everyday life.
In 2026, literature will join art—our book “The Kids are the Stars” was only the beginning.
Kunst für Angeln has prepared a culturally rich and artistic year for 2026:
Four exceptionally exciting exhibitions are planned—an expanded collaboration with young Danish artists and projects designed to spark curiosity, once again presenting Kunst für Angeln as a vibrant place for art and encounters.
But before looking ahead to the 2026 program, it is worth reflecting back: 2025 was another highly successful year for Kunst für Angeln. Four impressive exhibitions at Wittkielhof and two creative children’s workshops shaped the annual program. Children were deliberately placed at the center: the major autumn exhibition “The Kids are the Stars” was entirely dedicated to their works—and also inspired the publication of our association’s first book.
2026 began with the exhibition “Ich bin ein Drinnie”, running until May 17—with a new cross-border collaboration, new young talents exhibiting publicly with us for the first time, as well as exciting exclusive programs and activities for the KfA circle of friends.
What follows: the first solo exhibition, news from our KfA shop, more about our project “Art Against Loneliness”, and updates on planning our anniversary “Celebrating KfA – 5 Years of Kunst für Angeln”—and much more!
EXHIBITIONS

KUNST FÜR ANGELN presents
APRIL 19 – MAY 17 2026: “I AM AN INDOOR PERSON”
Welcome to the world of the Drinnies — people who prefer staying indoors rather than being in the spotlight.
This exhibition invites you on a humorous yet thoughtful journey into the inner world: our spaces, our thoughts, and our digital lives.
Finissage & Open House: May 17 | 12:00–5:00 p.m.
APRIL 19 – MAY 17 2026: KIDS ART CLUB EXHIBITION
The non profit association Kunst für Angeln – Art that Inspires!
Since 2022, collector Ingrid Roosen-Trinks has brought contemporary art to the far north of Germany. Her original works – including pieces by Heike Kati Barath – are loaned to schools and kindergartens, inspiring children to create their own art, later shown in public exhibitions by Kunst für Angeln.
Heike Kati Barath, painter and professor in Bremen, is known for her bold, striking portraits of young people and hybrid creatures. Her art challenges us: Who are you? – inviting dialogue and reflection.
From April 2026, Kunst für Angeln will present the children’s artworks as Interpretation of Bharath’s art piece in a special exhibition. Open to public starting April 19, 2026
Art, education, and inspiration – shaping a creative community together!
KUNST FÜR ANGELN means Art for Anglia. Anglia is the name of the northern region of Schleswig-Holstein, where Roosen-Trinks presents twice a year art exhibitions and children projects.
